The first disc wave became checklists

This is a bound, declassified set of standardized military forms titled 'CHECK-LIST - UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECTS.' They record many disc and sphere sightings across the United States in early July 1947. The forms made every witness answer the same fields: time, place, shape, weather, who saw it, and possible explanations. The real value here is not any single sighting but the form itself, which is how the Air Force turned a wave of public alarm into rough but organized data.
