NOTE: Bt.iiles reflect that an unidentified flying object was sighted
near Socorro, New Mexico, on April 24, 1964. Captain Holder, United
St,_L ~ ;_::: Force, along with SA .'.)_ Arthur Byrnes, J r. , interviewed
or.2 :..0.rn.ie Zamora of the Socor1·0 Police Department who had observed
th :; phenomena. SA Byrnes typed such a statement from Zamora which
was later included in a memo for dissemination. The Albuquerque
Office did not conduct any investigation other than to keep the Bureau
advised and maintain liaison with the Air Force . This is apparently
the situation to :which the correspondent is referring. Bufiles contain
no information identifiable with the correspondent .
