Dear Mr . Hoover :
Again thank you for your letter of Au&ust 31, 1959 .
The IIOUFO has been inves tigating UFO and flying
saucer sightings since August 1958 .
We have a State
Representative in most of the 50 states , and in seven
foreign countries .
We have a Scientific Panel of known
scientist and a Technial Advisory Board of known saucer
researchers .
I have received special authorization f rom the Department
of the Air Force in Washi ngton to visit Wright Patterson
Air Force Base in Dayton , Ohio for the purpose of viewing
the Air Force Files on their saucer investigation since
1948.
Among
the s i ghtings we are interested in is one
recent one , Soccorro , New Mexico, April 25 , 1964 . This
s i ghting was observed by several di ffe r ent people in dif~
ferent to,ms in New \iexico .
According to the AP , it was
stated that the FBI was investi gating this sighting .
Would it be possible to obtain the results of your inves t ­
i 0 ation? I was appreciate any information you could give
us .
