A tourist reported a Caspian launch
CIA, Baku, Azerbaijan, 1955.
This is a 1955 CIA report relaying a U.S. tourist's account of a triangular object launched from an airfield near the Caspian Sea south of Baku, seen from a train, that climbed steeply like a missile being ejected. The report carefully calls it an unconventional aircraft rather than a saucer. Its value is that it keeps the idea of foreign technology in view, since a strange sighting can be unusual without being from space.
