CIA tracked the UFO project status

This is a CIA Office of Scientific Intelligence memo from 17 December 1953 reporting the current status of the Unidentified Flying Objects project and what other agencies, mainly the U.S. Air Force, were doing. It reads like an administrative snapshot taken after the first wave of interest. The telling part is the project-management tone: once the government set up UFO offices, those offices had to show what counted as real work.
