Budapest saucers sounded like rockets
CIA, Hungary, 1955.
This is a 1956 CIA information report relaying a letter from a niece in Budapest describing 'so-called flying saucers (rockets)' seen over several weeks, with a sketch of their formation and a guessed path between Budapest and Moscow. Like its companion report, it shows intelligence watching a cluster of sightings and the scientific response to them. The wording is careful because the source is not proving the object, so it is a record of attention rather than identification.
