A USCENTCOM reconnaissance aircraft flying for Operation Inherent Resolve spotted a single unidentified object at 2043Z on 20 May 2022 over Iraq and tracked it as long as it could, but the analyst reviewing the footage could not get a positive identification. This is a modest unresolved report, not a dramatic encounter. Judging it well would need the sensor details that are mostly missing from the public file.
