A Syrian report reduced a UAP to flare

A USCENTCOM Operation Inherent Resolve report in which an armed overwatch crew saw an unidentified object fly through its sensors at high speed between releasing a munition and impact, during a weapons calibration over Ayn Al Asad, Iraq on 20 September 2024. The timing, right in that brief window, is what makes it unusual, and the mission was a calibration rather than a UFO hunt. That makes ordinary range activity and sensor artifacts especially worth considering.
