The Syria case is mostly glare
Department of War, Syria, 2024.
During an Operation Inherent Resolve surveillance mission over Syria on 20 October 2024, aircrew saw multiple unidentified lights or glares crossing the aircraft's video camera feed, judged harmless and not a laser attack. The report is almost anti sensational, recording the lights and deciding they were benign. Sometimes the value of such a report is showing what investigators chose not to escalate.
