On the 9th of 10 July 1947 we were coming up over the nothin' between here and Galesville crossing. The car was on fire by 9H and we could see the fire through the window. r. accdr. said "look at the fire in the sky". I looked and saw a blueish black vapor trail. The clouds were very dense and there were about 2000 to 10,000 feet, the object was through us, but the trail leaving a path you could see the blue sky, like a knife had cut it. The trail was about 1000 feet long, as if you cut a knife in half. The direction of the object was approximately north west. The trail was blueish black in color, very dark and maintained through the blue sky. The trail was more or less a line across the sky in a straight line with it.
