MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD
PROBIEM
1. To answer MC 1s informal request that fighter aircraft
be kept on a continuous alert status at air installations within
the Zone of the Interior for the purpose of intercepting aoo
gathering information on flying discs.
FACTS AND DISCUSSION
2. Colonel McCoy of AAC verbally requested that the
possibility of the above proposal be taken up with Director
of Plans and Operations.
3. Plans and Operations has turned down the proposal as
being unfeasible.
ACTION
4. Attached letter to AMC informing it of negative decision.
