My dear Senator Morse:

This is in further reply to your inquiry of 31 March 1959 concerning Chief Warrant Officer Delbert C. Newhouse, United States Navy.

Present plans are to detach Mr. Newhouse from the USS ESSEX (CVA-9) in July of this year and to transfer him to the Fleet Camera Party, Pacific at San Diego, California. Earlier detachment of Mr. Newhouse is not feasible due to the unavailability of a qualified replacement officer.

Your interest in this matter is appreciated, and it is hoped that the foregoing information may be of service to you.
