UNDER THE BASIC AUTHORITY GRANTED IN THE REFERENCE/ENCLOSURE, YOU ARE HEREBY DIRECTED AS FOLLOWS:

(1) On or about 7 September 1953 you will proceed to the place(s) designated below temporary additional duty, and upon completion thereof you will return to your station and resume regular duties.

PURPOSE/PLACE(S)

Proceed to the Naval Ordnance Test Station, Inyokern, China Lake, California, for temporary additional duty of approximately 5 days duration, to represent this activity at a conference concerning photographic problems.

VISIT SUCH ADDITIONAL PLACES DEEMED NECESSARY

(2) Travel in connection with these orders is authorized as follows:

GOVERNMENT VEHICLE IS DIRECTED WHERE AVAILABLE.

GOVERNMENT AIR IS DIRECTED WHERE AVAILABLE. CLASS

PRIORITY IS CERTIFIED.

WHERE GOVERNMENT TRANSPORTATION IS NOT AVAILABLE, TRAVEL VIA ANY ONE OR COMBINATION OF THE COMMON CARRIERS, RAIL/BUS/AIR. IS AUTHORIZED.

PRIVATELY OWNED VEHICLE IS AUTHORIZED WITH NO ADDITIONAL EXPENSE TO THE GOVERNMENT.

PRIVATELY OWNED VEHICLE WITH REIMBURSEMENT AT THE RATE OF SEVEN CENTS PER MILE FOR THE OFFICIAL DISTANCE TRAVELED, SUCH MODE CONSIDERED MORE ADVANTAGEOUS TO THE GOVERNMENT.

(3) If temporary duty is to be performed at an installation of the uniformed services and government quarters are not utilized, and maximum per diem is claimed, you are directed to obtain a certification as to the availability of government quarters (and mess for temporary duty under instruction or temporary duty outside the U.S.) from the installation commander or his designated representative.

(4) The cost of this travel is chargeable as follows:
