1. Report of lab analysis performed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation on Mr. DesVergers' cap is inclosed for your information and retention. The cap is also returned herewith.

2. Since it was necessary to mark and cut the cap for analysis, it is considered inadvisable to return it to Mr. DesVergers. It is believed preferable to offer a replacement for it if there existed an agreement that it would be returned.
