AFOIN-2A2 Maj Fournet/dbv/71016 Wrtn 19 Sept 1952 000:9 Afoling Relas AFOIN COORDINATION COPY Mr. Joseph M. Varela 17832 Fullerfarm Street Northridge, California Dear Mr. Varela: We acknowledge, with sincere thanks, the kind offers made on behalf of your group in your letter of 28 August 1952. It is indeed gratifying to see the cooperation extended the Air Force by organizations such as yours in our attempt to evolve a final solution to the unidentified flying objects problem. Since the Air Technical Intelligence Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio is the activity which is responsible for the investigation and analysis of these reports, we are forwarding your letter to them. For the same reason, we would like to suggest that you forward all data and findings directly to them rather than to this Headquarters. In this manner, the information which you supply will be incorporated into the program much more quickly. You will probably hear from the Center in the near future. WILLIAM A. ADAMS Colonel, USAF Chief, Topical Division Deputy Director for Estimates Directorate of Intelligence, DCS/O No M/R necessary. COORDINATION: AFOIN-2A2 AFOIN-2A
