Apollo 17 saw bright fragments and flashes

This is the Apollo 17 air-to-ground voice transcript in which the crew describe drifting bright fragments and repeatedly flashing distant objects they link to their spent S-IVB rocket booster, light flashes seen during sleep, and a flash on the lunar surface near Grimaldi. The crew and ground controllers were sorting through a busy mission in real time. That is not the same as seeing a craft.
