Dear Mrs. Peters:

We have received your letter of 4 September 1952 with the interesting newspaper clipping attached.

In order to relieve you of any further worry about the newspaper photographs, we can assure you that they are fakes. Apparently the newspaper intended them as a form of subtle satire. Unfortunately, however, many such attempts at humor cause undue concern among the public, and this appears to be one of these instances.

We appreciate your action in sending us the clipping and hope that our comments have reassured you.
