SUBJECT: UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECT

WILLARD JONES, 284 Chestnut Street, Kearny, N. J., telephone, Kearny 3-0722, telephonically contacted this office at 11:25 p.m., 11/12/57, to advise that he had seen an unidentified flying object (UFO) over New York City from 11:15 p.m. to the time of this call. JONES stated that the UFO had fast fluctuating red and blue lights and remained in a stationary position. JONES stated he was unable to describe the shape of the UFO. JONES stated he was using a 7x50 lense in observing the UFO.

Agent GEORGE H. WERTZ, OSI, was telephonically appraised of the above at 11:35 p.m.
