We completely
emptied the right hand box at the beginning of
the fli ght and stowed the articles around the
cockpit in those red bags that we had built for the
back of the seat and they really worked well.

I kept two meals always stowed
i n the area that led to the right hand stowage box
over my left shoulder.
I kept my two meals there.
Gordo normally kept his two down on either side
of his helmet in the footwell area.
We kept our
garbage bags--our silver garbage bags down in there
and the reason I say silver garbage bags is because
those green ones that McDonnell made just didn ' t
work at all. We never used them in the whole
flight.
