Roswell enters the FBI file

This is Section 1 of FBI file 62-HQ-83894: a 1947 collection of memos, telegrams, public letters, and newspaper clippings about the nationwide 'flying disc' reports, in which many recovered 'discs' turn out to be pranks or hoaxes while the FBI debates whether to help Army Air Forces Intelligence. Roswell appears here only as one teletype in a much larger pile of tips and field notes. The file is famous for a single page, but what it really shows is the routine work of taking in reports and sorting them.
