Senator Russell saw discs in the USSR

This is a 1955 U.S. Air Attache intelligence report (IR 193-55) debriefing Senator Richard Russell's traveling party, who reported seeing two unusual disc or 'flying saucer' shaped craft rise near a railway in the Trans-Caucasus region of the Soviet Union on October 4, 1955. The well-known names make it stand out. It is still a witness account, but coming from a U.S. senator's group and written up as intelligence, it is not a casual one.
