McDivitt saw a beer-can-like object

This is the preliminary Gemini 4 crew debriefing, Part I, recorded aboard the USS Wasp, in which astronaut James McDivitt describes briefly seeing and moving toward an unidentified satellite-like object over Hawaii. He could make out its shape before sunlight on the window made him lose sight of it. The short view and the amount of orbital clutter leave it unexplained, but nothing about it points to something exotic.
